How to Wear Wild Animal Print

I love a trend, but I also love when I find an outfit that I can’t take off. It hasn’t happened in a while. You know when you put something on and you feel great in it? So I wore this outfit to an event recently, and then wore it to a meet up with friends (some of the same people were there) and wore it to a meeting this week -with some of the same people! I didn’t even realise! It’s all from Very UK and the skirt is from the curve collection, the t-shirt is from their standard range but goes up to a size 24.

This outfit is very ‘desert vibes’ if you like. It zooms in on the beige and khaki colours and does animal print clashing in the BEST way! The ‘Wild’ tee is a great quality tee that’s also generous in size. I feel like it’s an in your face slogan but the snake print screams FASHION. The same goes for the skirt, which I am in LOVE with. I’m actually going to have a look to see if it’s available in other colours because it’s just so perfect. If you want to do animal print but you haven’t quite found the confidence to do it yet – either of these pieces is the perfect way to introduce yourself without feeling like everyone is looking at you. I mean, putting them together is a little loud, but that’s what I’m here for!

The leopard print is, of course, a base for anything. If you don’t already know, animal print is almost like a neutral colour. Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself! Mix it with pink, purple, blue or green. It ALWAYS works! But for me, it’s the cut of the skirt that wins on this one. It skims over my belly and the slit on the front gives it just enough spice to stop it being boring. The faux tie up on the side adds simple detail and honestly, I’d wear almost any t-shirt tucked into this one.

The plus size side split skirt is really lightweight so has that soft floaty feel when the wind blows – but not enough to show your knickers (hooray!) and the earthy tones of the slogan top and khaki skirt and perfect for this season. Subtle colours but seriously sassy styling. Oh and the white denim jacket? Who knew what I wore when I was 15 would come back in style in a big way!

It’s a super fresh look, easy to wear and good for any occasion. Whether you opt for sandals or white pumps like me it’s a look you won’t want to take off! By the way, I’m wearing it as I write this blog post! Ha!
