The first day of spring has sprung and I’m already feeling so much better now the days are longer and we’re finally getting some sunshine! But now comes the dilemma of switching up my wardrobe for the warmer weather. This is usually the time when I used to panic and suddenly become really self-conscious about things like my arms and stomach. But now… now I embrace the new lighter pieces I can enjoy wearing and I embrace ALL the colour! Here are a few of my go-to colours to wear this spring and everything is available online at Very.
Pretty in Pink
If you’re a sucker for the beautiful blossom that comes to life during spring, then you can be my bestie for life. I absolutely love it! So when I spotted this Junarose dress I knew it had to be mine. It’s full of pinks and purples, plus it’s animal print so a double whammy on the trend front. When it comes to Spring, wearing pink is never a bad choice. This dress has long sleeves too but is a sheer material, so it’s perfect for the slightly chilly but sunny days.
Keeping with the pink theme, I mean it is spring, after all, I’m loving these pink River Island sunglasses. I know I’m rambling on about pink but it just looks SO good in the sun! If you don’t want to go all out pink you could just try these wearing a pink accessory (such as these sunglasses) and still get all the gorgeous spring vibes.
Feeling Blue
So when it comes to dressing for a special occasion, or even if you just want to feel fabulous on an average day. This blue dress from V by Very Curve is for you. It has an almost 70’s glamour about it but the colour is what really stands out. That bright, cobalt blue which works beautifully in the sun and against all the luscious greenery that’s starting to pop up around the place. As for the cut of this dress… it just skims over you making you feel like it’s literally made FOR you!
Green Light
Whether it’s neon, lime or apple, it’s time to get those greens out! Just as everything else around us is blossoming, green is the Mother Nature inspired colour that really brightens up any spring wardrobe. This wrap style dress does all the work for you and it’s so comfortable too! As a side note, green looks amazing with red or orange accessories!
So get a spring in your step and brighten up your wardrobe. You don’t know how long the sun’s going to be here for!
